How please to switch off one sp to another.?

on thursday 19th march i shall be changing sp,s tiscali to bt.i understand i will have to erase all trace of tiscali before loading c.d rom from b,telecom.any straightforward advice would be most helpful.i live in u.k.thanks,john.
