Carmen Sandiego - did they ever get her?

I know they has the spin off from the "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego" show (and game show) with the "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego"(show & game) but did they ever truly get her? Or truly explain why Carmen went form one of ACME agent to well the evilest chick, yet coolest, that she was? Also who was "Player" in the shows was "player" suppose to be us, the viewers?
