Does anyone not hit a 16 against a higher dealer card in blackjack?

By the book you should hit if the dealer is showing 7 or better. The only time I don't hit is if I'm last at the table and a whole wack of small cards come out before me. My odds of hitting a large card "appear" to be much higher so I'll sometimes stay. *** I say appear because really they don't change that much...it just makes me feel better psychologically!
